18th (Setup), 19th and 20th July, 2008 - Ninth Annual Old Wheels In Motion Weekend. The Callide Dawson Machinery Preservation Club Inc. cordially invites you, your family and friends to attend the Ninth Annual Old Wheels in Motion Weekend and Inaugural Swap Meet at the Callide Dawson Machinery Preservation Club Grounds, Queensland Heritage Park, Exhibition Avenue, Biloela, Central Queensland on the 18th (Setup), 19th and 20th July, 2008. Come along and enjoy a tour down memory lane with tractors, stationary engines, horse-drawn vehicles and vintage cars on display. View the spinners and weavers and the gold stamper in action, along with the blacksmith, bailing and drilling demonstrations. Be there to see the Grand Parades, the Slow Tractor Race, Balancing and the excitement of the Tractor Pull. Join in the Inaugural Swap Meet, grab a site, look for a treasure, buy, barter or swap. Catering and powered camping sites available on site. Visiting exhibitors and market stall holders welcome. Public gate opens 8.00am daily. Don't miss out on the traditional Saturday Afternoon Auction or the Dinner and Entertainment on Saturday Night (bookings essential). 26th and 27th July, 2008 - South Coast Restoration Society Inc. Rally. 193 Rifle Range Road, Pimpana, QLD, 4209 (Exit 49 M1). Steam, stationary engines, vintage car clubs, animals, tractors, trucks. 21st and 22nd March, 2009 - 2nd Yesteryear Rally. The Bundaberg Branch of the Antique Machinery Restoration Society of Queensland Inc. will be holding the second Yesteryear Rally at the Tegege Hall and Sports Grounds, 24km north of Bundaberg on Rosedale Road on the 21st and 22nd March, 2009. Events include tractor pull, woodworking with antique equipment, stationary engines, horse drawn and old tractor ploughing demonstrations, vintage cars, motor bikes and trucks, swap meet and stalls etc. A country style dinner and auction will be held on Saturday night (bookings essential). Bar and canteen on site. Free unpowered camping for exhibitors.
