The Hamilton Pastoral Museum Inc. would like to extend an invitation to all of you who are interested and able to attend and take part in this event.

The Grampians Mountain Range

The Organising Committee have planned a fantastic two-day trek, through pastoral land and some of the Grampians Mountain Range.  The scenery will be picturesque, and there are a number of stopovers planned and places for participants to visit along the way.

The Organising Committee's aim is to provide participants with good food and good company, and a thoroughly enjoyable weekend that will be well remembered for years to come.

The Tractor Trek will be held the weekend just prior to the Hamilton Pastoral Museum's Annual Tractor Pull and Vintage Rally - 10th, 11th and 12th October.  So, participants are invited to stay for the week, and join in the rally activities on the following weekend.  The rally is the Museum's biggest event for the year, and is much enjoyed by all who participate and visit.

A number of activities and meals have been planned for the entertainment and enjoyment of those who choose to stay the week.

If you would like to participate, get your application form now, and return them, once completed, to Hamilton Pastoral Museum Inc., 2008 National Tractor Trek, P.O. Box 220, Hamilton, Victoria, 3300.

The Organising Committee and the Members of the Hamilton Pastoral Museum Inc., look forward to welcoming you to Hamilton, and to reaching their goal in aiming to provide participants with a tractor trek full of fun and enjoyment.

Planning for the 2nd NHMA National Tractor Trek (11th & 12th October, 2008 at Hamilton) is well under way.  The committee are having fortnightly meetings to make sure planning is running on schedule.  Our venues are booked, and we have commenced our advertising campaign.

As per the details on our website (www.hamiltonpastoralmuseum.com.au), we will be running bus tours for the partners of trek participants, so they will have to opportunity to see some of the local attractions while their partners are "trekking".  We will also be utilising buses to convey participants to and from the trek, so those not wishing to camp at Dunkeld on the Saturday night, can come bask to Hamilton and stay with their partner overnight, then be returned to Dunkeld in the morning.

The committee are encouraging participants to come for a holiday and stay for the week following the Tractor Trek.  Those that do, will be able to participate in the Hamilton Pastoral Museum's Annual Vintage Rally and Tractor Pull (incorporating Truck Show) the following weekend.  We will also be providing a few mid-week activities for those staying, involving visits to private collections in the area, and a BBQ tea at the museum on the Wednesday night.

There will also be another tractor trek at Heywood on the following weekend after our rally, to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.  If people would like to stay another week, they can participate in this also.

The committee has received enquiries from people as far away as Queensland informing me that they will be attending.
